The  democratic  republican  party  felt  that  missouri  question  violated the  principle  of  northwest  ordinance.they  quarreled  over  economic  policy. Northwester were  so  concerned  that  allowing  slavery  in  missouri mostly  in  south  position  that  possessed  unlimited  sovereignty over  slavery.Many  northerner  realized  that  the  argument  negate  the  northwest  ordinance  in 1787.
