After winning office in 1828, andrew jackson shortened the name of his party to signaling that it was a new kind of political party organization.

He founded the democratic party, separating its beliefs from that of the democratic-republican party that existed prior to this. This party is the oldest political party. It was originally based on social conservatism and economic liberalism. Populism was also a primary characteristic of this political party.

Tenochtitlán was the capital of the aztec empire. it was a busy and bustling city where“there are daily more than 60,000 souls, buying and selling, and where are found all the kinds of merchandise produced in these countries.” when cortes arrived in 1519, theenormity of the trading market and the smoothness of it’s running both surprised and  impressed him.
