What were some advantages the us had over great britain during the revolutionary war?

The colonists were surprisingly strategically brilliant they knew many things about the British and used that knowledge as one of their allies.

The advantage of the war holding place within the colonies was the largest advantage they could of held with the legions of English soldiers vastly outnumbering the colonist rebellion forces, the colonists used the environment and well known terrain against them taking the high ground as often as possible.

The British also contributed to the rebellion's many advantages by controlling their forces from the main land, supplies, reinforcements, and movement commands often took a long time to get to the massive armies while the colonists discussed and planned under the shadows of their own city walls.
