Women of the 18th and 19th Century - Assignment Organizer Directions: Use the organizer on the next few pages to write down notes on each woman and then choose which women or woman you want to do your project on based on your interest and the information you gathered. 1. Select FIVE of the women listed in this lesson, or choose others not on this list that you have a particular interest in. Go to the library and find out what each of these women contributed to our society. Write at least one paragraph about each of your choices. Every day this week, write about one woman. Present the information about each person in such a way as to show her character. Try to make each of these women come alive through your descriptions. Be sure to include information on why we still remember these women today, and what important contributions they made to our society. 2. Write a series of letters as if you were one of these women. She could be writing to a friend, to another woman on this list, to her husband or partner, her children, her parents, or anyone else you choose. The letters should reveal the beliefs of the woman writing them, and share some information about the activities of her life. 3. Choose one of these women to learn about in more depth. Research and write one to two pages.
