Please check my answer [ will mark brainliest to the best answer] Question: In a paragraph, explain 2–3 ways in which the Spanish-American War influenced the emergence of the United States as a world power.

The Spanish-American war was an armed conflict between Spain and The United States that occurred in 1898. This conflict originated after the US Navy ship USS Maine was attacked, and American newspapers claimed that the Spanish were responsible. This lead to the US intervention in the Cuban War of Independence, and ended Spanish colonial rule in the Americas, and US acquisition of territories in the western Pacific and Latin America. It also helped to unite the people of the U. S., helping relieve the tension left after the American Civil War and redefined national identity. Since after the conflict, the U. S. intervened in many conflicts around the world and entered many treaties and agreements.
