William Penn insisted that his colony would have tolerance for all religions, a democratic government, and individual rights for its citizens. He was the first to put these “radical” ideas into practice & law by writing the Frame of Government of Pennsylvania.
This document was revered (greated admired) by Thomas Jefferson and other founding fathers. It was even used as a model for the United States Constitution. In your opinion, after watching this video. Did Pennsylvania live up to the dreams and expectations of its founder, William Penn? Explain why or why not.
