In what way did the different colonial style of the French allow elite colonial subjects to benefit from colonialism

African americans at the time just came out of slavery and needed money to provide for there families. so they joined for the money mainly.

They made a checks and balance system to equal power within the branches. the "check" meant that one branch would watch one branch and "balance" them if they were too powerful. if you want more info on this, i would just google checks and balance system.
