The Shay's Rebellion was one of the reasons the Constitutional Convention of 1787 was called, as people realized they needed to amend the Articles and make it less weak. While this was the original goal, the Articles of Confederation ended up getting scrapped and the United States Constitution was created instead. Although some people did not want the United States Constitution, as they feared the federal government obtaining power, the Bill of Rights was created in order to protect the rights of the people.
