NEED HELP ASAP PL/ Why did the Stuart's ruling style cause conflict with the English Parliament? The Stuart wanted Parliament to allow for a standing royal army during peacetime.
The Stuarts were believed in the divine right of kings and that they were not responsible to the people.
The Stuarts wanted to rule without Parliament in order to put down uprisings against their rule.
