As a bank teller in Austria after world war 2, Brandt is accustomed to people to people opening accounts with little documentation. One man comes in, through, handing Brandt an identification that says he is German refugee. He wants to transfer money from a bank in Switzerland commonly used by nazis to store their money. Brandt looks closely at the man, suspicious that he may be a former nazi which organized would be most interested in documenting and investigating whether this man is, in fact, a wanted nazi criminal
