In Direct Democracy the people used to take the socio-political initiatives directly, without feeling the need to pursue their legitimate and legislative demands through the intermediation of representatives. Mostly, it was a possible and popular way of practicing democracy in underpopulated areas but with the rapid growth of population, ‘Indirect or Representative Democracy’ replaced the former.
