PLEASE PLEASE HELP! Choose three of the British North American colonies and explain why they did not want to join confederation?

Quebec, Nova Scotia, and Newfoundland did not join in the Revolution, although factions within each supported it. Because Britain wanted to become less involved in the government of their colonies, because it was very time-consuming and expensive. It was time for the colonies to become more independent.
