The reason it's a bad idea is because people can only work together in the long term given some kind of incentive to do so. People require a leader to control and manipulate them for them to all work together in the long run. Why do you think we have prisons? It's for this massive reason that I have just stated.

americans had many intangible advantages. well since the british fought a war far from home military orders, troops, and supplies sometimes took months to reach their destinations, and the british had an extremely difficult objective. they had to persuade the americans to give up their claims of independence, americans had a grand cause: fighting for their rights, their independence and their liberty. this cause is much more just than waging a war to deny independence.

one of the negative side effects were the economic losses the events of september 11th caused. many, many people lost their jobs as a result of a downturn in the economy after the terrorist attacks.
