Historians argue there were many turning points of the American Civil War that led to the Union victory. Consider the events covered in this lesson [Battle of Gettysburg, Battle of Vicksburg, Sherman's March to the Sea], as well as the Emancipation Proclamation. Which event do you think is the 'turning point' of the American Civil War?
