1 .Explain how the Spanish viewed the indigenous people. Your explanation should not only include a description of the Spanish view, but also an explanation of why they felt the way they did. Please use clear descriptions so that I know which group you are referring to in your answer. 2. Number 1-5. For the first 4 numbers list a hardship endured by Africans on the middle passage. 3. Number 1-4. List each of the ways slaves would rebel on ships. Next to each rebellion example, explain why you believe a person would choose that particular form of rebellion.

4. Number 1-4. List four ways Slavers would try to control slaves on the ships and for each one explain what purpose that method of control would serve. ( Explain why the slavers would do each of the individual methods of control, be detailed enough to show understanding with your answer)

5. Number 1-3. List two effects of Slavery on the Continent of Africa. For the #3 choose the effect you think is most "visible" today and explain how it has changed/affected Africa so much that you can notice it in the modern day.

6. Number 1-3. List two effects of Slavery on the New World. For the #3 choose the effect you think is most "visible" today and explain how it has changed/affected any area of the New World so much that you can notice it in the modern day.

7. Number 1-2. Give two examples of plants, animals, or microbes exchanged on the Columbian Exchange between the New and Old worlds. For each example you must explain 1)where it came from (New or Old world), 2) how it affected the place it was delivered to, 3) and the historical significance of the affect.

8. Who do you believe is the chief beneficiary of the Columbian Exchange? Explain why you believe that way.

9. Take on the point of view of the Old World European and argue/explain how the benefits of the Columbian Exchange are worth the ecological change/destruction and societal changes in the New World. You must answer as though you are convinced you are on the "right side of history", which means, do not give the opposite opinion in your answer unless you are debating it. Feel free to upload answers to this question in video format if its easier for you.

11. List 2 of the responsibilities of Encomenderos issued by the Spanish Crown, and give the main reason the Encomenderos did not follow the Crown's orders.
