PLEASE HELP Part 2: Once you have completed your poster, answer ALL the following in at least a three-paragraph persuasive
response. Use your Betrayer or Patriot evidence chart from the Canvas lessons and class to persuade readers that
Brutus is either a traitor or a patriot. Remember to use transition words and phrases within your paragraphs and
between your paragraphs-- paragraphs follow the mini-essay format (intro statement, details, concluding statement). In
addition, be sure to explain all the evidence you provide using the elaboration techniques we learned in cycle 4.
* In your introductory paragraph. Be sure to include the details of the text. What should be in the intro paragraph?
What is the title of the play? Who is the author? When was it written? Introduce it. Then state your thesis. Do not just
start writing about it without introducing it to the audience.
*In the body paragraph(s), provide evidence to support your thesis and carefully and thoroughly explain the evidence.
*Ask yourself the following questions about each piece of evidence you provide: Is this line sincere, sarcasm, or
something else? How can you tell? Which words in this line suggest the character's true feelings? Are there multiple
ways to interpret this line? What are they?
*Start each body paragraph with a transitional phrase and answer all questions in complete sentences.
** Do not forget to end with a powerful concluding paragraph (something that sums up the entire essay and restates
the thesis). What was Shakespeare's purpose in portraying Brutus this way, or what did you learn about human nature
from this play?
You must provide a minimum of two embedded quotes or paraphrased ideas that prove your thesis. You must have a
minimum of three full paragraphs (an introduction, a body paragraph, and a conclusion)
