What is the meaning of "equity" in production

A company's equity applies to the possession of a common company. In Production, equity is the distinction among the importance of the assets and the benefit of the obligations.  Equity can symbolize a possession advantage in a transaction, such as stockholders' investment or owner's property. Equity can determine the aggregate of liabilities and owner's equity.
