How did the atlantic slave trade contribute to conditions that eventually led to the haitian revolution

Basically, the Haitian people of color were mostly ex slaves. At one point in time, there was 20 000 white people, 20 000 locals, and 700 000+ slaves. France allowed the slaves to keep their African culture and language in parts of the island, and eventually, the 700 000+ slaves wanted freedom and liberation from the heavily minor Caucasian population. This led to the Haitian Revolution.
