Why did italy resent foreign powers after the treaty of versailles? the big three didn’t give italy the lands that it had been promised before the war. german goods flooded the italian market, driving local manufacturers out of business. italy had to pay the costs of the damages to the other allied powers during the war. the united states kept italy out of the league of nations and formed alliances against it.
