Fruit and chemicals.

What natural resources does the country have that are not available in North America?
Mineral products, salt, animal products, rum, chemicals, and vegetables. 

What natural resources might the country need that are in North America?
Definitely aircraft and motor parts, because half the the Bahamas' economy depends on tourism. Medicines would also be a must have for sick or injured tourists. Telecommunications would be a nice souvenir for tourists, and the Bahamas would make a pretty penny for that. 

What are it's major industries?
The major industry for the Bahamas is tourism. It provides for more than half of the economy.

What are the risks to these industries?
As I said earlier, and this could be a major impact on the economy if a disaster struck the Bahamas, or a drought occurred and it became barren. Then, tourists might not come as often, and might not even come at all.

Is the country's economy more or less diverse than the United States? 
The Bahamas has a less diverse economy. But, all of the people all have the same kind of culture. The US is different and bigger, with the west, north, south, and eastern lifestyles.

What opportunities does the country have to increase its diversification?
The country could be influenced by the tourists who come there and people who stay there in the winter and live another place in the summer. They could also be diversified by the products which they import.
