Hugo Chavez (1954-2013) was a military man in Venezuela that became president of his country in 1999 and until 2013. He became a dictator of Venezuela and broke relationships with the United States. During his tenure as president, he created a big division in citizens. Half of them supported him but the other half did not want him of power. The results of his administration were poor regarding the economy of the nation and people’s welfare. Venezuela has a strong Army but people live in permanent poor conditions.
