What issues and beliefs unite the diverse group of reformers known as progressives?

The Progressive were the diverse group that promoted the belief that the middle class should be have the benefit of holding power in managing the society. The rich and the poor have such significant differences that inequality and inequity arises almost frequently. 

The  pharaoh  was at the top of that pyramid. in the level below were nobles, priests, and officials. they the  pharaoh  govern egypt. so did soldiers, who fought battles for their ruler, and scribes,  who kept records  for the government and the temples. i know this
