What was the result of the growing differences between jefferson and hamilton?

Jefferson and Hamilton had opposing views of the government. Jefferson supported ideas such as the involvement of the common people in government positions, strict interpretations of the constitution, and strong states' powers. On the other hand, Hamilton supported the idea that the government should be made up of the rich and educated, loose interpretations of the Constitution, and a strong, central government. Although, Washington warned the two about forming political parties, their constant arguments eventually lead to the formation of the political parties. Hamilton was the leader of the Federalists Party while Jefferson lead the Democratic Republicans party.
