In at least 150 words, state your opinion on which system of governance you believe to be the best and why.

I think the democratic system is the best because all the citizens living in a country can take part of the decisions. As it's name tells us ( the government by the people), democracy is a way in which all voices and interests are heard and represented. This helps a lot on a balanced distibution of power and therefore on having space for equality and diversity at the same time. In other systems of governance a minority takes all the decisions which most of times benefit themselves.

Democracy implies that all citizens are equals, as I said, this gives them rigths but also obligations. Everyone needs to compromise on making their country a better place. If there is an injustice going on, a responsible citizen, knowing that we all have the same rigths, will try to do what's necessary to stop the abuse. Sometimes we limit the idea of democracy to the vote, but I beleive that it surrounds us in every political decision we make, even the smallest ones.
