Advertising techniques using moving images, such as that of the candidate relating socially to poor people, children and the sick, are known as belonging to the group called "emotional appeal." These techniques are commonly used in order to thrill the audience and convince them of the similarities between the politician and the individuals. It is an attempt to promote empathy and thereby win the votes.
