What is the process to appoint and approve supreme court justices?

Article Two of the United States Constitution requires the President of the United States to nominate Supreme Court Justices and, with Senate confirmation, requiresJustices to be appointed.

I think there are four steps: One being the presidential pick, where the president nominates something. The Second is when the request is then sent to The Senate Judicary COmitee, where they disccuss the background. The third is when the senates vote on whether or not the request is alowed.
