According to the declaration of independence, when do the people have the right to overthrow their government?

According to the Declaration of Independence, citizens have the right to overthrow the government when it has abused its power and broken the law. At this time, Americans felt that this directly applied to the British government. Before this document was written, the Americans were still considered colonies. However, over the course of the 1760's and the 1770's, the British government started to become tyrannical (according to the colonists). This is why the Americans felt that had the right to overthrow the government, as it has become corrupt and ineffective in serving the citizens.

If in one country, people are feeling threatened by the elected government and they feel that the government is failing on the count of securing their basic fundamental rights for which they chose that government then people have all the right to overthrow that government or whosoever is the person who is leading that government. The people have the right to choose the government that they feel will secure their rights and provides them with safety and happiness.  

Declaration of independence was written by Tho as Jefferson in which he mentioned that every citizen is born with natural rights which are related to right to freedom and right to privacy and if the government tries to take over it then the people have right to abolish that government or overthrow that government and choose that government with which they feel more secure and think that it will protect their fundamental rights.
