What are Brutus, Cassius, Antony, and Octavius doing before
their battle in Act V, Scene i?
They sit down and have a final meal together because they don't
know who will live and who will die.
They have a battle of words, trash-talking each other before the
physical battle.
Each side (Antony and Octavius on one side and Brutus and Cassius
on the other) urges the other side to surrender before the battle so
no one needlessly dies.
They challenge each other to a quick game of chess before the
actual physical battle begins.
