The ability to research a given topic and formulate
your own independent opinion on the subject is an
important skill. In this project, you are asked to
research a topic chosen from the list provided below,
and develop your own position on the subject, based
on your findings. Your position as well as any supporting
evidence should be presented in an essay.
Begin by selecting one of the following topics for your essay:
The Bible Commonwealth
The First American Revolution
The Creation of New York
Pennsylvania and its inhabitants
The Puritans vs. The Indians
Plymouth and the Pilgrims
The Mayflower Compact
“History of the United States” by Charles A. Beard
Your essay should:

Show that you take a clear and firm position on the topic.

Present evidence from the course, including videos and the text, and from any other
sources you wish to include to support your stance.

Discuss influencing factors that altered, augmented or supported the circumstances
surrounding the event, conflict, contract, etc.
·
Present topic in a logical and sensible fashion.
·
Include at least 3-5 facts that support your stance.

I'm hopeless in history and even more so when it comes to writing an essay!!!
