Was there a "Golden Age" of cooperation in Spain, or were the Jews simply not as oppressed by the Muslims as they were by the Catholics of that time in Medieval Europe? Was this a fairy tale told after the expulsion in 1492 by the Muslims (or the Jews) in an attempt to further stir up trouble with the Catholics; or was it something somewhere in between?
