What were some advantages for our side?

What did the British do in DC and Baltimore and what were the results?

Disadvantages were;
•Britain had the best military in the world and their soldiers were well trained
•The Britain navy dominated the sea
•They could raise funds for war easier
•people were still in favor of the crown and most Native American tribes were in favor of the crown since they promised more protection of their lands

Advantages were;
•We were fighting on our own land and any supplies that were sent to the British would take months to arrive
•war was expensive for the British and many questioned it’s importance
•as we continued fighting the British more colonists joined the cause, bringing more hope
•the alliance with France helped tip the war in our favor

The British marched in the Capitol and burned the White House which was done successfully.
The British then tried to destroy Fort McHenry so that they could capture Baltimore but the American forces drove them away and killed the commander of the invading British forces.
