Answer  :Greece was amongst several major western nations classified as a ‘flawed’ democracy in the latest white paper known as the Democracy Index published by the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU).

According to the report, Greece and Cyprus ranked 35th and 39th in the global rankings, in the same ‘flawed’ group as Italy, France and the United States of America, whilst Turkey was ranked 110th of 165 nations and 2 territories.

Greece has a score of 7.29 out of 10 whilst Turkey scored 4.09 out of 10 relegating it to the “hybrid regime,” category, the second lowest after “authoritarian regime.” North Macedonia was also listed under the “hybrid regime” category.
