The person who owned the land would give a piece to one of the slaves. He would say it is for free but then he would make up all of these different things to make them pay a bunch of money and end up in a hole that is almost impossible to get out of.

well let's see i know a little about the fall of the roman empore but what to say i do not have a clue of what to say.
