The actual result of the Final Solution was the extermination of two thirds of Europe's Jewish population.
The extermination of European Jewish is known as Holocaust. The Nazi decision to carry out the genocide was taken between the late summer and early autumn of 1941 and the genocidal program reached its climax in the spring of 1942 - since the end of 1942, the victims were regularly transported on freight trains , especially driven to extermination camps where, if they survived the trip, most were systematically killed in the gas chambers. Heinrich Himmler was in charge of planning, administrative organization and supervision, and it was the repeated anti-Semitic rhetoric of Adolf Hitler that encouraged the execution of the massacres, which also had their approval directly. 1941 and 1945, the Jewish population of Europe was systematically persecuted and murdered, in the biggest genocide of the 20th century. However, this extermination was not limited only to the Jews, but the acts of oppression and murder were extended to other ethnic and political groups. Each arm of the German state apparatus participated in the logistics of the genocide, converting the Third Reich into a "genocidal State". The non-Jewish victims of the Nazis included millions of Poles, Communists and other sectors of the political left, homosexuals, gypsies, physical and mentally disabled people and Soviet prisoners of war. It is estimated than more than 6 million Jewish people were murdered in the Holocaust.
