Which is the greatest similarity between a turnpike and a canal? a) Both could be built also anywhere, which was a great advantage over railroads.

b) Both were constructed to make a profit as traveling were charged a fee to use them

c) Both turnpikes and canals needed to be near a water source, or a river.

d) Both eventually were used much more than railroads, because they were cheaper.​
