They didn't wanna let women to vote or to have the power too. If they did they would have let blacks vote to and this all happened back when everything was segregated. If they passed the 19th Amendment then they would be giving blacks the power as well as women to vote. Back then men were at the top and they didn't wanna be taken over by blacks and women.
