It is important to remember the past, to show how much you have improved. Remembering the past is not always good , but not always bad. You can use your past to tell a story to lift people up. Recognizing your mistakes and fixing them are important as well because maybe in the future you might be talking to a person and they might have done the same mistake as you did, you can remember the past and teach them how you resolved your problem to help them resolve theirs. Remember not to always think about the past , think about it when you need to lift someone up and don't use others past as a way to blackmail or to win a fight , that's just not cool
