Why did the decline of rock and roll take place when the genre was so young and vibrant?

Rock and roll declined because of 3 key role models in rock n roll who either stopped playing or they were are unable to play. Those key models were Little Richard, Elvis Presley, and Buddy Holly.

Do you have more info about it ? i doubt this is the answer because i don't have all the information but if trouble was brewing in a clinic maybe it was an argument as to which clinic was better or smth of that nature
