CHAPTER 3 DISCUSSION: What does Federalism look like in Texas today? As the 12th "Texas Takeaways" states the state challenges the federal government on a LOT of important issues. Considering this adversarial relationship that now seems to exist between Texas and the federal (national) government, is it a good or bad thing? Was this what the Founding Fathers intended when they created a federalist system? What has changed in the state-federal relationship since 1787 when the U. S.
Constitution was created? Discuss what could be done to improve this relationship.
