Why did the states keep refusing to adopt the Articles of Confederation? The states intended to elect a new king after they won the war so they figured the king would decide for himself once they chose him

They thought they did not need it. The states had been looking after themselves for years already without one.

The states really wanted to make sure that it was just right. They asked for it to be rewritten with a bill of rights before they signed it
