The "Pontiac's Rebellion" is also known as "Pontiac's Conspiracy." This was an uprising led by the Native Americans in an attempt to push the British soldiers (white settlers) out of the Ohio Valley. The rebellion was a result of Native Americans' dissatisfaction in the policies made by Jeffrey Amherst, a British General. It was an Odawa war chief named "Pontiac" who convinced the Native Americans to drive away the white settlers. Although they fought against the British soldiers by attacking their forts, they were unsuccessful. However, the policies were modified in order to suit the Native Americans' liking.
