The concept of popular sovereignty was used to justify many of the revolutions that occurred during the Age of Enlightenment. What does this concept say about the rights of citizens? The rights of the popular majority are more important than the rights of any minority.
They should not be taxed on anything that helps them provide for their families.
They have the right to vote on every issue that affects them.
They have the right to select their rulers and hold them accountable for their actions.
