When abusing power, conflict will OF COURSE be created.No one likes to be taken advantage of.Especially cases like the molasses act.Under the Molasses Act colonial merchants had been required to pay a tax of six pence per gallon on the importation of foreign molasses.But because this was unjust to them, they mostly evaded the taxes and undercut the intention of the tax.This requirement was repealed because it greatly affected the significant colonial molasses trade.Then if we take a look at the cause of the american revolution, you'll see that it was caused by the British attempts to assert greater control over colonial affairs.Those colonies rebelled of course and started a war.When power is given to the wrong person or group of people it can cause great chaos.No ones likes to be controlled unfairly, so why would people not rebel against someone using their power?
