Ancient India, just like it does today, revolved around the Hindu beliefs. They supplied large amounts of spices and textiles. The caste system was their way of attaining paradise. One of the greatest stories came from that time. Rama was their greatest warrior who killed the demon god Ravana with the power of Vishnu. Many temples have been built to the pantheon of gods. The Ganges River is considered holy, but is polluted with ashes of the cremated. The Buddha also began his Enlightenment around that area. 

China was a divided empire, going through many dynasties which all crumbled by either war or poverty. The advances in medicine were incredible, but also the use of gunpowder. The Great Wall was built to keep Mongols, the scourge of the times, from destroying the established areas.
