Identify and explain the limitations on
the ability of the United Nations to meet world problems.

The United Nations is an international organization made up of 193 countries, which has the objective of preventing the emergence of international conflicts through dialogue between the member states, guaranteeing human rights to their citizens, and generating basic guidelines on the internal regulation of each nation.

Now, since the United Nations is not a government, it cannot imperatively execute the guidelines that it proclaims through its deliberative organs. For this reason, in practice, the United Nations does not have greater power than many of its member states, which have governmental structures that can enforce their measures through their army, their police, their judicial and legislative powers and other prerogatives that correspond to sovereign nations.
