Some of the advanced civilizations in Mesoamerica were the Olmecs, Maya, Aztecs, Toltecs, and Zapotecs. They were all very well organized societies, with good infrastructure, multiple independent inventions of their own, strong and well-trained militaries, laws, and structured hierarchical system and governments. Certain things didn't go to their advantage and to reach the same levels of development as parts of Europe and Asia, but never the less they were doing very well.
