Compare and contrast the intent of Westward Expansion with the impact it had on Black people.

Westward Expansion, also known as Manifest Destiny, encouraged a mass migration of European Immigrants from the East. They moved westward in hopes of expanding their land size and also to spread ideas of religion and technology. With this, they colonized the land and exiled the Natives who already lived there. (idk if you mean comparing this to the slave days so i’ll just do that) White people during the Westward Expansion claimed the upper hand and punished the native americans, just as they did to slaves. They forced the slaves to take upon their religion and made them work for zero money, just as they did to Native Americans.
