If Thomas Paine felt that it was only “Common Sense” to get rid of a tyrannical government and replace it with a better one, how he would feel about this excerpt from the Declaration of Independence? The text: ”We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
