The great Mongolian ruler Genghis Khan tended to adopt the weapon technology of the groups he conquered. Why was it important for Genghis Khan to use this new technology? He was easily bored by any battle strategy--new technology helped him get creative.
He saw technology as a way to strengthen his army through the use of frightening new weapons.
To continue fighting for him, his warriors insisted on learning new ways to kill people.
He saw this new technology as a gift from the gods and a sign that he should rule the world.
