He was sadly assassinated on April 4, 1968 in Memphis, Tenessee.

To this day, Martin Luther King Jr. has a legacy that lives on. He is remembered nationally on January 15, a holiday known as Martin Luther King Jr Day. His breakthroughs in stopping national prejudice are still mentioned with awe, and many memorials and streets have been dedicated to him. We should rememeber him in our lives, because without him, America would be far less equal, even today.
